How it works

What happens after you contact us

Iowa landowners have watched this industry arrive, settle near the cities, and now start looking further out. If a letter has reached your township or you simply want to know where your place stands, this is how we go about answering it.

  1. You tell us about the land

Send us the county, roughly the acreage, and what you have noticed around the place. Mention any wind lease or easement. Where you are unsure, say so instead of guessing.

  2. We check it against public records

We look up who serves you, what transmission is nearby, and what your county has already done about projects of this kind. Almost all of it is public record and none of it costs you.

  3. We call you if it looks workable

If it looks workable we come back with what we found and what we would want to do next. If it does not, we tell you so and give you the reason.

  4. We make an offer, or we tell you why not

Documents come at the end rather than the beginning. Your attorney reads anything before you act on it, and until that point we have asked you for nothing but a description of the place.

At no stage does any of that involve you paying for something or agreeing to stop talking to other parties. Where somebody wants either from an Iowa landowner before showing their own work, that is worth being slow about.
